An odd book that I could not put down.
In my opinion this is an odd little book. Heartbreaking and warming. Mystical and historical. Spiritual but in a Native American flavor. Haunting almost like all the characters were ghosts.
I wanted to read this book because the idea of an old lady hiking across Canada seriously floats my boat. But that's not really what the book is about. It's about war and then the end of the war and how it doesn't really end. And it's about growing old. And it's about the interconnectedness of everything. It's a blurry story but it's told really well and I enjoyed it.
