It starts of with the resurrection of Hal, and follows him through his struggle with his old mentor-turned-nemesis, Sinestro.
It leads up until Blackest Night, which I presume the 2nd Volume (Releasing August 4th) will continue from.
All the while, supplying your brain with an awe-inspiring, universe spanning story arc and just incredible art.
Geoff Johns took a small part of the Green Lantern oath, "In brightest day, in blackest night," and created one of the most entertaining comic story arcs I have ever read, bringing the entirety of the DC Universe heroes along for the ride.
It captures everything, from the desperation of the Green Lanterns, to the tension between the rivals of Hal Jordan and Batman.
