I received a copy to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review. This is the second book in the Slow Burn series, after reading the first one that I loved, I couldn't wait to read this one. Ari is different from other people but her parents want her to live as normal a life as she can. In the beginning we get a glimpse at how Ari's early life was and how she came to these parents. Then when she is older, living in her own apartment and working as a teacher, something happens that she feels the need to hide. When she calls her dad, he is ready to run with her and her mother just to keep them safe. Someone has been after Ari all her life. When her parents go missing, she remembers what her father told her if she needed help and he wasn't able to help. "Find Caleb and Beau Deveraux".
