This is a fine translation of a text written by Ngawang Kunga Tenzin, who lived in the late seventeenth and early eighteenth century. It contains practical instructions on how to meditate in the Mahamudra tradition and it claims, “This path of profound true meaning is the ultimate vehicle, the common path traversed by all buddhas, and the foremost shortcut to perfect enlightenment.”(See text at page 18.)
