My stars! We need an additional star or two for rating this book. It's the first in a new series from the outstanding writing talents of Catherine Anderson and quite honestly, I didn't want it to end.
Amanda, MANDY Banning was such a brave battered woman, her daughter Chloe stole my heart from the first scene,but it's the Sterling family that has captured my heart the deepest. From Kate and Jeremiah, Jeb's parents, to the brothers Jonas and Barney, I can only suffice it to say, I WANT MORE!!!
On a serious note, the recounting of the abuse that both mother and child suffered, in addition to the revelation to Jeb of the extent, had me angry, bewildered, and cheering. I am more than a little in love with Jeb Sterling and his entire family!
